Happy Monday My Friend!! August 21st, 2017 Welcome to My Reflections on the Real Estate Industry! Reflections from a 30 year Real Estate Broker In order to best understand my views on NYC Real Estate, allow me to introduce myself and share some of my background with you! I have been a New Yorker all my life, except for the fact that I grew up in Astoria, Queens. A perfect place for a kid to grow up, at least for me it was! My parents were immigrants, immigrating to Queens in the 50's from an Island named Malta which is 6o miles south of Sicily! My dad always had to repeat his story as I was so fascinated that he could come to NY with a couple of hundred dollars in his pocket & then set about creating a life for himself, my mother and brother and I. My dads trade in Malta was as a mainly as a tailor in a dry cleaning shop! In his days, most men in Malta had their suits made by a professional tailor. And he was great at it!! He could hem your pants ...
